Offshore Electrotechnician (2-on / 3-off Rotation)

The Role

For one of our clients, we are looking for an Assistant Driller. In this role, you will assist the Driller on location and take the lead on the drill floor team. Working in a tough and dynamic environment means that safety awareness both yours and that of your colleagues is critical.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating drilling equipment, monitoring pressure, temperature, and bit speed;
  • Carrying out maintenance on equipment, including replacing parts and performing minor repairs;
  • Ensuring all safety procedures and protocols are followed by the drilling crew;
  • Maintaining accurate reports and documentation of drilling activities;
  • Supervising a small team and overseeing the quality of their work.

Where You’ll Work

As an Assistant Driller, you will work on various onshore and offshore drilling locations. Together with a team of 5–6 colleagues, you will contribute to multiple projects. In this role, you will lead a Derrickman and two Roughnecks, while supporting the Driller with the drilling operations.

What You Bring

As an Assistant Driller, you are safety-conscious and a natural leader. You also bring:

  • Relevant work experience in drilling operations (onshore or offshore);
  • Minimum vocational education level 3 (MBO or equivalent);
  • Valid certifications (e.g., VCA, Forklift, etc.);
  • Offshore certificates such as MIST, NOGEPA 0.5, or BOSIET (preferred);
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English (German is a plus).
